March winds do blow

After the rain and gales one day in March we went for a stroll expecting nothing. There were no crowds as there have been this year. Just us. And we had our camera!! The starlings have stayed much longer this year. Much better than a firework display. It was truly breathtaking and went on....and on.....and on. We saw Red Polls too!

Shapwick held a green fair recently. They are hoping to become a transition village. Burtle have had some funding to help them to refurbish their village hall. They are going to put a straw bale shell around the existing building. That should feel cosy!

Blue is the colour for a day of wind and showers.....but so warm for January!! The birds have eaten most of the berries in our garden now and are loving the bits of spare raw pastry I am leaving out. No need to put water out though, unlike a week or so ago....as there are puddles just about everywhere.
